Salary Grade D SCP 5-9:  £23,500 to £25,119 (FTE)

33.5 hours per week, term time only

£17,954 - £19,627 Actual salary, dependent on experience.

Are you a hard-working individual who enjoys making a difference to children’s learning experiences and doesn’t mind getting a little bit mucky? Calcot Schools are seeking to appoint an inspirational and motivated Nursery Nurse who would enjoy working as part of our committed team. Our amazing children, are looking for someone who is imaginative, caring, kind, supportive, funny, tidy and with added sparkle!

 

Working under the guidance of the Early Years teacher you will provide a high standard of physical, emotional and social care for the children in the Nursery. You will provide general assistance in the management and organisation of the pupils and the classroom to support the delivery of a high quality and engaging curriculum.

 

Successful candidates will:

  • Have completed a recognised level 3 childcare qualification e.g. NNEB Diploma in nursery nursing or NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Year Education and Care

  • Have sound literacy and numeracy skills (verbally and in writing) and previous experience of caring for, or working with, children aged 0-5 for a minimum of 2 years.

  • Possess a good understanding of the Early Years curriculum and the age-related expectations of pupils and a commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of planning and setting up the EYFS environment to inspire and motivate learning

  • Be knowledgeable on a range of strategies to establish a purposeful learning environment and to promote good behaviour

  • Actively enjoy working with children and be empathetic and sympathetic to their needs

  • Be organized, reliable, punctual, flexible, professionally discreet, confident and able to use their own initiative.
