Welcome

We are delighted that you have visited the Nursery School page and we are so pleased that you have shown an interest in our wonderful Nursery. Calcot Nursery provides a safe and stimulating environment for two to four-year olds so they may learn and develop. We encourage children to explore their indoor and outdoor environments, whatever the weather with an extensive range of toys and learning resources. Our Nursery is an integral part of Calcot Schools and we are delighted that so many of our nursery children go on to continue their learning journey in the school.  Within our EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) unit we have our own purpose-built nursery, which comprises our butterfly area (a specific area for our two year olds to learn and play and our dragonfly area (a specific area for our three and four year olds)  along with its own outdoor sheltered courtyard and outdoor learning environment. In addition, we utilise the vast open spaces and playing fields on the school site, including the forest school area. We welcome visits and are always happy to spend time talking to families and showing them around our school, as we know how important it is to make sure the start of every child's learning journey is right for them. We hope that the information on our pages gives you a real feel for our school, but please give us a call should you require any additional information. We are always happy to help.

Nursery Staff

 From the moment the doors open in the morning, to the time we are reunited with our parents at home time we are busy!  Helping us in nursery are our teachers, Mrs Carlisle, Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Dent and Mrs Bate our assistant/deputy headteacher work with us on a regular basis too.  We also have lots of teaching assistants, and they help us explore our learning environment and develop our skills in the early years curriculum. Their names are Mrs Warner, Mrs Bennett, Miss Watson, Mrs Finch and Mrs Carter.
